Although she was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Jhone' got her jump start in the entertainment industry in New York City. She covered a wide playing field, gaining experience in media writing, event planning, brand integration and marketing. As journalism major and a young political enthusiast, Jhone's voice and perspective was welcomed in rooms and she soon went from working red carpets to walking them.
Jhone was cast in her first acting role at just six years old, and over the years, she has continuously found herself back on stage in some peculiar way. While in New York, she studied at Susan Batson Studio and appeared in the Spike Lee Netflix series "She's Gotta Have It." After relocating to Los Angeles, she studied at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Margie Haber Studio and Baron Brown Studio. Jhone' co-starred in The CW hit show "All American: Homecoming," and has several projects available to stream on BET+, the most notable being her political news series, The Gen Zone. As the host, co-writer and producer, Jhone's main goal is to keep young voters updated on the new tea in the political realm. The Gen Zone has successfully filmed for four seasons and episodes can be found on FoxSoul. Additionally, the series recently received an award from the African American Film Critics Association for the 10 episode documentary 'Road to the White House' currently streaming on BET+.
