Tamar x JHONÉ x TRL

Despite the singer's media frenzy on her recent filing for divorce, she joined the audience at TRL for a live show and interview.

After the releasing of her latest album, Bluebird of Happiness, Tamar Braxton revealed that this would be the last album fans can expect from her. TRL host, DC Young Fly, questioned Tamar's decision and her response was a bit different from what she told previous sources. In September, the singer told Entertainment Tonight she was quitting music to focus on strengthening her marriage. However, on TRL, she assured fans she's not completely quitting the game and to look forward to her joining The Great Xscape Tour alongside R&B group Xscape, Monica and other artists.

Top Picks from Bluebird of Happiness:

"The Makings of You" samples the legendary Gladys Knight and the Pips' original record. Aside from being a lifelong friend and role model to Tamar, the inspiration for this song came from Claudine (1974), a movie about a single mother raising six children and figuring out life. Tamar says the intentions of this record are to empower women to be independent and stand on their own two feet.

"Hol' Up" features Memphis rapper, Yo Gotti. One thing everyone should know about Tamar is that she loves her ratchet music. On TRL, the singer admitted to this being one of her favorite records solely for the beat. "It's good twerking music!" she chanted while attempting to dance in her seat.

Bluebird of Happiness is still available in stores and for download on Apple Music, Spotify and more. As for MTV, in the words of Tamar herself, "Getcho life and watch TRL" as it airs on your TV weekdays at 4 p.m. ET.
